Earlier this year CA announced their decision to replace Actuate iServer with Business Objects as CA Clarity’s standard reporting solution. Existing CA stock Clarity Actuate Reports will be in maintenance mode and no new enhancements will be implemented. Support of these existing stock reports will only be available until the end of 2009. CA Clarity customers are required to choose between a Business Objects roadmap or to continue with the Actuate product’s next release, V9. Although CA has recreated several of the Stock Reports that exist in Clarity in Business Objects, any custom report will need to be migrated and amendments to existing stock reports will need to be recreated in Business Objects Crystal Reports.

In order to ensure that Clarity customers get the most out of Clarity’s new reporting functionality and to help migrate from the Actuate Reports to the new Business Objects environment, CQC approached 6pm to marry our strengths and offer the Clarity Client base a compelling combination of understanding Clarity and BI expertise to ensure a seamless and painless transition from Actuate to Business Objects. Whilst still providing their clients with a single point of reference, through this strategic partnership CQC are now able to provide a unique skills mix of Business Process Management, Clarity, Business Objects, and BI expertise.
The partnership will provide CA customers with a comprehensive range of services from new report design and build services to Business Objects Training and Help Desk and Support Services for covering both Clarity and Business Objects support and incidents through a single help desk.
We will be using our Quick BI Tool and 6pm facilitated report design workshops to facilitate the requirement gathering process and ensure that the business gets what it really wants out of their reports.
Together with CQC, we are currently offering Clarity Reporting Assessments. The aim of the workshop is to assess and review the current reports and skills and build a roadmap highlighting how to rapidly build and implement robust solutions for business reporting going forward. These Workshops are being offered courtesy of 6pm and CQC provided they are booked by the end of this year.
